Our Café ConAmi is an easy access offer for Ukrainian refugees who are looking to exchange ideas with each other, but also want to receive information about the school landscape, the healthcare system or the culture of our country.
It takes place every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the katholisches Bildungsforum at Händelstraße 16 in 47226 Duisburg-Rheinhausen.
It is also possible to get initial psychosocial advice here, as a member of the Young Supporters team is available for personal conversations in a separate room.
Café ConAmi offers a safe space to talk about the personal situation and process the events in Ukraine. Grandmothers and mothers who are now single parents in a country that is foreign to them are primarily worried about their children. Supporting and advising them is a key task of the Young Supporters team during the café times. There is usually a special event once a month. For example, Ukrainian food was cooked and eaten together in the teaching kitchen of katholisches Bildungsforum. These events are particularly appreciated by both the young refugees and the adults.
In addition to a translator, the Café ConAmi team consists of two therapists who have undergone further training as grief counselors and have additional qualifications (dance therapist, executive coach).
